Introduction

Prize Bot ("we", "our", or "us") is a Discord bot that provides auction, giveaway, claim, and currency management features for Discord servers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our service.

  • Discord User ID - To track auction winners, giveaway entries, currency balances, and user preferences
  • Discord Server ID - To store server-specific settings and configuration
  • Message Content - Only in auction/giveaway channels to process bids and entries
  • Interaction Data - Button clicks and command usage to provide bot functionality
  • Role IDs - For permission checks and mention features
  • Payment Information - Processed securely by Stripe; we do not store credit card details
  • Bot Tokens (Whitelabel) - If you use our whitelabel feature, your Discord bot token is stored encrypted and used solely to operate your custom-branded bot

How We Use Your Information

We use collected information solely to provide and improve our services:

  • Processing auction bids and determining winners
  • Managing giveaway entries and selecting winners
  • Tracking currency balances and transactions
  • Storing server configuration and preferences
  • Processing premium subscriptions
  • Providing customer support

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS RDS. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest, secure access controls, and regular backups. Access to production data is restricted to essential personnel only. Sensitive credentials such as whitelabel bot tokens are encrypted before storage.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as you use our service. If you remove the bot from your server, server-specific data may be deleted after a reasonable period. You can request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We only share information with:

  • Discord - As required to provide bot functionality via their API
  • Stripe - To process premium subscription payments
  • AWS - Our infrastructure provider for data storage
  • Legal Requirements - If required by law or to protect our rights

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to processing of your data

Children's Privacy

Prize Bot operates on Discord, which requires users to be at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
